Defense No Longer Welcome in Baltimore

Well, it’s still welcome,  just not with the annual “we need more from the quarterback position, but we’ll do what we have to do” spiel. Head coach John Harbaugh has gone so far as to say the Ravens will not settle for being known as an elite defensive team anymore, and that’s scary considering the team isn’t even sure who its quarterback will be.

Interestingly enough, Ray Lewis has bought into this line of thinking.

“I think we understand that we’ve got a defense that’s been the cornerstone of what we had for the last 12 years,” Lewis says. “But at the same time, everybody’s trying to flow together with this team concept.”

In case you didn’t know, that’s code for, “if ya’ll don’t start throwing, I’m gonna bust somebody’s head.”
