AND MATT BIRK!!!!!
This night just gets better. Apparently the Purple Birds have also signed Matt Birk, the all-pro center. He should more than replace Jason Brown, and bring some good experience to this young, jump o-line. WOO HOO INDEED!!!!
WOO HOO!
As of 6:3o ET tonight, Ray Lewis is coming back to Baltimore, signing with the Ravens! Ha Ha! Dallas smells!
Search Ends
You’ve probably heard the news by now. The Coast Guard has ended their search for the missing boaters including NFL players Marquis Cooper and Corey Smith. It’s pretty much certain that these boaters, along with their friend Will Bleakley, a tight end from the University of South Florida have passed away at sea. If not, well then, we live in a great world. If the speculations are correct, which is probable, God Bless their Souls, and may our prayers be with their families. This is a sad day for the NFL community, and many outside of it. I just hate [...]
DAMM-MITT
Jim Leohnard signed with the Jets today. If this continues, the Jets might as well buy out the Ravens. They’ve signed Scott and Leohnard, and have all but locked up Corey Ivy and Rex Ryan is looking for more. Good luck to Fast Jimmy in East Rutherford. He’s gonna need it. Also, to end this short post, Ray Lewis wants to stay. He says that the Ravens are his top choice, but it’s hard to totally believe that. Right now it seems as if Dallas hasn’t offered him anything, because it’s really hard to believe that he’s interested in [...]
Mock Draft-1st Round 3/2/09
# Team Pick 1 Detroit Lions (0-16) Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia: The Lions could go with Andre Smith, but his leaving the combine, and not woking out at the combine makes him a bad item right now. Depending on his pro day, he could hop back into this spot. Also, Stafford’s statement that he would love to play for Detroit might just flatter them enough. 2 St. Louis Rams (2-14) Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia: The Rams need help on the line, and Monroe is probably the top rated lineman on many teams’ boards after Smith’s incident. 3 Kansas City Chiefs (2-14) [...]
Jason Brown To St. Louis
Ravens pro bowl-caliber center Jason Brown has signed with the St. Louis Rams. This sets up a bad situation for the Purple Birds, who now need to replace a huge hole at center. Chris Chester could be the starter, or the Ravens could go after a veteran center like former Viking Mat Birk. The draft has ok talent at center, but nowhere near good enough to replace Brown’s hole. There’s still no new info about Ray Lewis, maybe he’ll actually stay here. In the new mock draft, which will be posted on the site tommorow, the #1 pick is Matt [...]
