Late Wednesday night the Baltimore Ravens and 1st round draft pick
Michael Oher, a tackle out of Ole Miss, reached an agreement that will put Oher in a purple and black uniform for 5 years. The 6 foot 4 mountain of a man will assume the right tackle position left vacant when veteran Willie Andersen. Oher was the last of the rookies to sign and other than WR Derrick Mason the last to attend training camp.
Now if you don’t know Oher’s story; first shame on you and secondly I need you to do something. Here is a link to CBS’s video, a brief synopsis of what Michael has been through: A Diamond in the Rough.
Now that Oher was signed he could end his 2 day holdout, and according to the Baltimore Sun’s Mike Preston, Ozzie Newsome made the right choice drafting Oher. Here is the story: Oher Impressive in First Practice.
