Marcus Smith Out For Season

Posted by: caseydurkin

Second year wideout Marcus Smith’s season has come to an unfortunate end. After sustaining an injury during the Ravens 23-0 rout over the Redskins, his agent Kevin Omell, confirms that Smith has torn his anterior cruciate ligament in his left leg. In english, he has a left ACL tear. Smith was hoping to build on a successful rookie season and 2009 training camp where he was battling for a spot on the roster as a receiver and not just a special teams specialist. Omell released this statement pertaining to the injury:

“He was having a good camp and had an opportunity for a lot of reps. He was looking to build on a good rookie season”
