Week 1 Predictions
Football is here. The preseason is over and the real games are begining. Finally. So this year I will predict each game and keep my record. Feel free to submit your picks to the comment section and keep track of your own record. Tennessee @ Pittsburgh- Pittsburgh Steelers (In a battle of the defenses he Steelers will prove that they are still number one) Miami @ Atlanta- Atlanta Falcons (“Ryan to Gonzo for the TD” will be said at least twice) Denver @ Cincinnati- Cincinnati Bengals (The Bengals will win on a field goal by Sir Chad Ochocinco) Minnesota @ [...]
Check Out Tomorrow’s Issue of b!
Tomorrow, my NFL season picks (division winners, player awards, etc.) will be in the free Baltimore newspaper “b.” It’s a free paper that’s all over Baltimore. Pick one up if you see it. I’m not sure if the story will be run online too, hopefully it will, for those who don’t have access to the paper. Other than that, Matt Cassel is still questionable for the game on Sunday, and being that the Ravens are a much better team on paper, the Chiefs may let him sit the game out. That’s just a theory on my part, don’t take that [...]
2009-2010 Season Preview
Football season is upon us. We are ready for kickoff tomorrow, so as the procrastinator that I am I waited until the last moment to post my season preview. So before bones are snapped and victors crowned I would like to put in what I think will happen this upcoming season, so later when it happens I can brag about it. Playoff Picture: Here I will predict the “who, what, where, when, why, and how” of the 2010 playoffs. really, I’m just guessing (educatedly I might add) what 12 teams will earn a bid into the plaayoffs, and [...]
This post has no subject, hence the chaotic and messy title. So, I will make a list of points. Some news is good, some doesn’t matter and some isn’t news at all. Not anything bad today. Mark Clayton MIGHT. JUST. PLAY. in Week 1. He’s not listed on the official injury report, meaning that barring some crazy, donut-eating freak injury, Clayton will actually start a game. Mike Duffy has the story. The Ravens will wait to sign Super Bowl hero David Tyree, even after he passed a physical and worked out with the team yesterday. Baltimore is the #1 choice [...]

Ravens Announce 53-Man Roster
After a day of “he’s in, he’s out”, a great but disappointing Navy game and the first day of a long weekend, the moment we have all been waiting for all of preseason happened: The roster was finalized. The Ravens announced their Week 1 roster at 5 p.m. today, and the full roster is here. Rest assured, Sam Koch did in fact make it, along with bubble players like Ray Lewis, Joe Flacco and Ed Reed. During the day, I reported on Twitter that players like David Hale, Dannell Ellerbee and Steve Hasuchka made the team, while Graham Gano, Yamon Figurs, Justin Harper [...]
Preseason Week 4: Ravens vs. Falcons Live Blog
Q&A With b’s Matt Vensel
Hey all, first, to get it out of the way, yes, there will be a live blog tonight, but it may have to start a few minutes late. Just a few, hopefully no more than 10 minutes after gametime. But keep in mind, it might be on time. Now, we will return to our regularly scheduled programming. I did another Q&A, but this time, I was asking the questions, to b’s Matt Vensel. b, a free daily Baltimore newspaper (yes, it’s a lowercase b as the title) has been around for over a year now, and is like a daily, [...]
All AFC North Team
This is the week where all of the big wig sports publications come out with there NFL previews. This year one or two had all division teams so I thought to my self, “Casey do an All AFC North Team”. And guess what I did! ( Hint: Look down). My Attempt at an Accurate All AFC North Team OFFENSE: Quarterback- Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers Halfback- Willie Parker, Pittsburgh Steelers Fullback- Le’Ron McClain, Baltimore Ravens Wide Receiver- Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh Steelers Wide Receiver- Hines Ward, Pittsburgh Steelers Tight End- Heath Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers Left Tackle- Joe Thomas, Cleveland Browns Right Tackle- [...]
Why Your Team Will Suck This Year: AFC Edition
The good people at Tailgate 365, not to sound obsessed by mentioning them so much lately, had a cool idea. They wanted fans of every NFL team to comment about why their favorite team will stink up the joint in this upcoming season. So, here I am, about to give a reason for each NFL team on why they will go 0-16. Or at least something close to it. I had this as a full league post, but decided it was a bit too big, and decided to split it up into two parts. This is the AFC Edition. NOTE: [...]
