Vote For Michael Oher as NFL Rookie of the Year

Michael Oher has been nominated as one of five candidates for the NFL’s Rookie of the Year award this season.  Oher started all 16 games for the Ravens, 11 at right tackle, and five on the left.  The huge lineman from Ole Miss strengthened an offensive line that helped the Ravens offense gain over 5,600 yards and set a team record for touchdowns in a season.  His inspirational story coming from the Memphis projects and turning into an NFL starter was the basis for the box office hit, The Blind Side.  Oher’s opponents in the voting are:

  • Jairus Byrd, S, Buffalo Bills (NFL-leading 9 interceptions)
  • Brian Cushing, LB, Houston (133 tackles, 4 sacks, 4 interceptions)
  • Clay Matthews, LB, Green Bay (51 tackles, 10 sacks)
  • Percy Harvin, WR, Minnesota (60 receptions, 790 yards, 6 TDs)

You can vote as many times as you want, and Oher is very deserving, being one of the league’s top linemen this year and shutting down studs like Jared Allen, Richard Seymour and Antwan Odom.  Support Oher and the Ravens by voting on NFL.com.
