Brandon Marshall Tendered

If you haven’t heard the news already, Bronco’s wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been tendered with a first round pick.

This is a strong indicator that Denver wants to move the disgruntled wide receiver, as they could have tendered him with a first and a third round pick.

Brandon Marshall is a pro bowl talent, but is a bit of a diva.

What does this mean for Ravens fans? Well, it may only take pick 25 to get that big number one wide receiver that we’ve been clamoring for.

However as we all know, Ozzie Newsome can do a lot with a first round selection, and may opt to bring in some talent along the defensive line, a young tight end, or a pass rusher in the draft.

With this news, it wouldn’t make sense to now draft a rookie wide out with pick 25, considering Marshall could be acquired for the same price. Although he may bring along some headaches and extra baggage.

Remember that there are a few receivers that could be signed as free agents out there as well. Terrell Owens and Antonio Bryant come to mind, however neither are quite as talented as Marshall.

Marshall is the classic high risk, high reward prospect. But with the offensive woes the organization has endured over the years, maybe it’s time to take a chance.

Free agency starts friday, things could get pretty interesting for Ravens nation.
