Mockery Of All The Mocks

Now that we are in the final few days leading up to the 2010 NFL Draft, prognosticators and average Joe’s (not a slight at my wonderful partner, Mr. Joe Barnes) all across America have submitted their final Mock Drafts. My job is to sort through these piles upon digital piles of Mel Kiper Jr. wannabes  and present you with the creme de la creme of the mock draft world. Of course, your first source should be the EbonyBird.com Mock Draft tab above, but after that where do you go? Well, actually that’s easy. Go straight to the new mock draft at CBSSports.com where our very own Joe Barnes made the Ravens first round pick. Actually, allow me to take the raw information I have found and arrange it into a nice tidy paragraph.

At ESPN James Walker, the residential AFC North blogger for the ‘Mothership’ acted as Ozzie Newsome in this particular mock draft selecting Jared Odrick, a defensive end from Penn State. Full Mock Draft.  This is a bit of an outlier, seeing as though he was the only “expert” having the Ravens select Odrick. While it is a very legitimate possibility, Odrick seems to be fading on the mock radars.

Now, if you direct your attention to Bleacher Report, they have our Baltimore Purple Birds taking tight end Jermaine Gresham from Oklahoma. Jermaine Gresham is a big target who can complement the newly stacked Ravens’ receiving corps as another downfield threat. As you sift through the mock drafts floating around the Internet, it is hard to find the Ravens selecting anyone other than Jermaine Gresham. From Joe’s Internet-Wide mocks, we’ve found Gresham was the most predicted selection, but now that is even more evident.
