Roethlisberger Expected to Miss 4-6 Games (UPDATED!)

by NFL

Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended for 6 games by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Yes. That does include the Sunday October 3rd game against the Ravens, in Pittsburgh.

Click “Continue Reading” for more details on the suspension and what it means for both the Steelers and for the Ravens.

While the reports have not been confirmed yet, Jason La Confora of NFL Network is claiming that this will be the case. It apparently depends on how Big Ben complies with counseling and whether or not he can stay out of trouble in the coming months.

Dennis Dixon will be the starter for the Week 4 Ravens match up in Pitssburgh.

While this is goods news for Ravens fans, and Bengals fans for that matter, Dennis Dixon is no slouch of a back up quarterback as the Ravens can attest to first hand. The Steelers have also acquired Byron Leftwhich and still have Charlie Batch on the roster.

We’ll keep you posted if there are any conformations on this matter.

Also look for my final mock draft to be released later today.

UPDATE: The reports have now been confirmed. Fat Ben has been suspended for 6 games.  Read the story from ESPN here.
