Tripp’s Final 2010 Mock Draft

AUTHOR: trippc | IN: Draft Prospects | COMMENTS: 1 Comment |

In less than 42 hours, we will more than likely know who the newest Baltimore Raven will be. That is of course, barring a trade down to Friday night, which is certainly possible.

The 2010 NFL Draft starts tomorrow with the first round.

So this is my last Kiper/Mayock impression until next season.  I hope you have enjoyed them thus far, so do the same this time. Enjoy, and don’t miss them too much.

1. St. Louis Rams – Sam Bradford QB (Oklahoma)

Trading Adam Carriker makes Suh a contender for this pick once again, but I think ultimately the Rams will realize that they almost have to take Sam Bradford here.

2. Detroit Lions – Ndamukong Suh DT (Nebraska)

They could make a draft day trade for the disgruntled Albert Haynesworth here, but if they don’t Suh is the way to go.

3. Tampa Bay Bucaneers - Gerald McCoy DT (Oklahoma)

Not a bad consolation prize. Russell Okung is also possible.

4. Washington Redskins – Russell Okung OT (Oklahoma State)

Hands down the best fit for their biggest need.

5. Kansas City Chiefs – Eric Berry S (Tennessee)

They’ll likely try and trade out here, but if there are no suitors Berry is the best player available that fills a need.

6. Seattle Seahawks – Trent Williams OT (Oklahoma)

Great ZBS fit, should do a solid job in taking over for the retired Walter Jones.

7. Cleveland Browns – Earl Thomas S (Texas)

Another team that could easily trade down. I don’t think Jimmy Clausen warrants much consideration here.

8. Oakland Raiders – Jason Pierre-Paul DE (USF)

No one knows what goes on in Al Davis’ head, but we do know he drafts with his stop watch. JPP fits the bill.

9. Buffalo Bills - Bryan Bulaga OT (Iowa)

Again I doubt Clausen hears his name called here although it is a possibility. Bulaga fills a bigger need.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars – Joe Haden CB (Florida)

I have a strong feeling they will be trading down for more picks here. Possibly with the intention of reaching for Tim Tebow in the late first/early second. If they can acquire a second and third for this pick, the Ravens could become a trading partner at 25.

11. Denver Broncos – Rolando McClain ILB (Alabama)

Word on the street is that they want Pouncey, but he’d be a reach here. If they stay put, McClain is their best bet.

12. Miami Dolphins – Sergio Kindle OLB (Texas)

After letting Joey Porter and Jason Taylor go, OLB becomes a huge issue for Miami. They will probably trade down to get better value for a guy like Sergio Kindle, or Brandon Graham.

13. San Francisco 49ers – Anthony Davis OT (Rutgers)

Big time talent with some character and maturity issues. Iron Mike should be able to straighten him out.

14. Seattle Seahawks – CJ Spiller HB (Clemson)

Didn’t do much to fix this position in free agency so they should address it early in the draft.

15. New York Giants – Dan Williams NT (Tennessee)

For all the talent they have along the defensive line, they have some serious issues.

16. Tennessee Titans – Derrick Morgan DE (Georgia Tech)

Incredible value here. Won’t be available if Bill Parcells decides he wants him in his 3-4 defense.

17. San Francisco 49ers – Kyle Wilson CB (Boise State)

Again no Jimmy Clausen. Kyle Wilson has sky rocketed up draft boards since the Senior Bowl.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers –  Mike Iupati OG (Idaho)

Tough decision if both Pouncey and Iupati are available here.

19. Atlanta Falcons - Brandon Graham DE (Michigan)

Probably projects the best as a 3-4 outside linebacker, but the Falcons may prohibit that.

20. Houston Texans - Devin McCourty CB (Rutgers)

Bruce Campbell, Taylor Mays and Ryan Matthews are all in play here.

21. Cincinnati Bengals – Jermaine Gresham TE (Oklahoma)

Sorry Ravens fans, Gresham could easily be a Patriot or a Bengal tomorrow.

22. New England Patriots – Dez Bryant WR (Oklahoma State)

Top 5 talent with a troubled past and poor image. Pats could be getting a steal here.

23. Green Bay Packers - Bruce Campbell OT (Maryland)

Tons of upside, but should be a bit of a project.

24. Philadelphia Eagles – Maurkice Pouncey C/OG (Florida)

Andy Reid loves drafting linemen.

25. Baltimore Ravens – Jared Odrick DE (Penn State)

I wonder who will fall into our laps this year? We’ll know in about 24 hours! You know, unless Ozzie goes all…Ozzie on us and trades down.

26. Arizona Cardinals - Sean Weatherspoon LB (Missouri)

If he’s available he should be their replacement for Karlos Dansby.

27. Dallas Cowboys – Taylor Mays S (USC)

Something tells me Dallas will trade up, I’m just not sure who it will be for.

28. San Diego Chargers – Ryan Matthews HB (Fresno State)

Probably eyeing Cody and Matthews heavily, it’ll be interesting to see who they choose if both are available.

29. New York Jets - Terrence Cody NT (Alabama)

Tough to predict what Rex will do here, D-line and rush linebacker are strong options.

30. Minnesota Vikings – Jimmy Clausen QB (Notre Dame)

Probably won’t make it here, I’m predicting someone to trade up for him in the late teens/early twenties.

31. Indianapolis Colts – Brian Price DT (UCLA)

Offensive line is certainly another way they could go.

32. New Orleans Saints – Carlos Dunlap DE (Florida)

Another top 10 talent that will need a short leash to be productive.

Highest Risers: Kyle Wilson (17), Bryan Bulaga (9), Trent Williams (6)

Furthest Fallers: Jimmy Clausen (30), Dez Bryant (22), Brian Price (32)
