AFC North Draft Grades

Jamie Dukes and Trent Green grade the AFC North’s drafts since 2006. The outcomes are as follows:

Steelers Ravens Browns Bengals
Total Picks 43 41 38 46
On 2010 Roster 22 28 17 27
2010 Starters 6 6 9 10
Pro Bowlers 2 3 2 0
Dukes’ Grade A+ A- C C
Green’s Grade A A C C-

Both analysts noted the Ravens ability to draft skilled players, but they took some points off due to last year’s draft where their first two picks came in the second round with Sergio Kindle and Terrence Cody. Although I don’t blame Jaime for knocking last years draft, I still believe that both Sergio and Mount Cody show promise for the future, but that is still yet to be seen. With questions surrounding Sergio’s head injury and Cody’s endurance and weight becoming an issue, it can’t be said for sure whether those picks will turn out to be successes. As with most draft picks, only time will tell and this case is no exception.
