Two Days Until Draft!

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

That time of the year is approaching. Draft day is almost here. The only time of the year where men get giddy like school girls. Get your nachos ready, your beer iced down, and your recliners rocked back for what is always a spectacular event. The relationship between a football fan and draft day is unlike anything else. Everybody always asks me: “What’s so great about watching a three hour long program where players sit around and wait for their names to be announced?” My answer..Well, simply put, for the love of the game. There’s nothing like a great game [...]

The NFL Lockout is Lifted

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

For right now, the NFL Lockout is lifted. What an awesome day for football players and fans alike. Rumors have that some teams will show up in the morning showing dedication to their team and fans. Other rumors are that they might open up Free-Agency on Thursday. The 1st Round of the Draft AND Free-Agency? Goodness my TV will have ESPN tattooed in the bottom right-hand corner after all the sleepless nights I’ll have, only to give our fans and Ravens fans in general the latest and freshest breaking news. Keep Ebony Bird in tight and our staff will be all over what may or may not [...]

Zbikowski 4-0 In Boxing Career

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

After delivering a first round knockout to Blake Warner last night, Tom Zbikowski remains undefeated. Although his competition thus far has been less than spectacular. The 5’11″, 215 lb cruiserweight’s display of athletisicm in the ring is quite impressive. Let’s hope that the hard work and training that goes in to his boxing career translates to better play on the football field. Tommy Z has another fight in late May where he will hope to further expand his boxing career towards his ultimate goal of winning a title bout.

Week 5 Bye Critical For The Ravens

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

This year, the Ravens have an early bye that follows a tough opening stretch. After a home opener with the Steelers, two road games with Tennessee and St. Louis, followed by a tough prime time showdown with the Jets at home, the Ravens will get some much needed, early rest. We already know what to expect from the Steelers and Jets game. Two similar games that should be hard-hitting affairs. The two road games in the middle should not be over looked though. Chris Johnson should keep the Ravens’ D in check as he puts his 4.24 forty time to [...]

Could Stephen Paea Fall to the 26th Pick?

AUTHOR: | IN: Draft Prospects, NFL, Offseason | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I know. I know. I know that just a week ago I said that the Ravens would not take a defensive tackle in the first round, but it has come to my attention that after looking through countless Round 1 Mock Drafts, Stephen Paea is nowhere to be found, yet in every scouting report he’s projected as a definite Round 1 prospect. Paea, who injured his knee during a Senior Bowl practice, was only able to bench press at the Combine, hurting his draft status. Wait, did I say only? Oops. Paea showed his athletic dominance by cranking-out 49 reps of 225 pounds. He also had 10 [...]

What Carolina Should Do

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL, Offseason, Ravens, Season Preview | COMMENTS: None Yet

I understand that this is a site dedicated to providing you with in-depth coverage and (semi-)professional insight on the world of the Ravens, but I thought that the ramifications of what Carolina does with the first overall pick on Thursday will have a trickle-down effect on the 26th pick. Therefore I shall come right out and say it. Carolina should not draft Cam Newton. (Still breathing?)
