Joe Flacco Ranked 90 On Top 100 Players Of 2011

NFL Network is revealing ten of the top 100 NFL players in 2011 every Sunday for the next couple of months. Quaterback, Joe Flacco, of the Baltimore Ravens came in at number 90, which some may say is too low for him. Regardless, to be considered one of the top 100 players in the league is impressive. That is the top 6% of the league or the creme de la creme, as I like to call it. You could certainly argue for him to be higher on the list, given that he has made three playoff appearances in his first three years. I do find it odd that Josh Freeman of the Buccaneers came in ahead of him at 86 when his list of achievements are far less than Flacco’s. You can watch Charles Davis and Brian Baldinger of NFL Network react to the quarterbacks on the list here. What do you think about Joe’s spot on the top 100? I’m a huge Flacco fan. But he got what he deserved I think. Yes, he’s made the playoffs in 3 straight seasons but this isn’t about his career it was about his last season. He won a playoff game and lost (again) to the Steelers. He is definitely a good franchise QB and I would say deserves a low space in the top 100 like he received. If he can get to the superbowl (much less WIN a superbowl) NFL’s Top 100 ratings for that season will have him much higher. As for why Freeman is higher than him…well Freeman got sacked 28 times and threw only 6 interceptions. Flacco threw 10 interceptions but got sacked 40 times because he holds the ball way too damn long. That has to change for this season.
