Dawan Landry Off To Dallas?
In an article by the Baltimore Sun, the Dallas Cowboys are supposedly very interested in Baltimore Ravens’ safety, Dawan Landry. The Cowboys could most certainly use the help in the defensive backfield as Gerald Sensabaugh is becoming a free-agent. Depending on Landry’s status as a free-agent this off season, he could be somewhere other than Baltimore next year. That would hurt Baltimore’s defense immensely given that their depth at safety is already thin. With Ed Reed aging, the Ravens’ safety concerns need to be addressed if they want to make a playoff push this year and in the future.
Chad Ochocinco’s Bull Riding Attempt
Chad Ochocinco’s latest offseason antic was riding a bull. If he could stay on for eight seconds, he would win a car and get to rename the bull. In a tweet, he stated that he would rename the bull after Cinncinati head coach, Marvin Lewis. However, he was unable to stay on Deja Blue, the bull, for anywhere near eight seconds. He clocked in at one and a half seconds but still received $10,000 for attempting the feat. You can watch the pathetic attempt below:
Lockout Update
The NFL and NFLPA were to resume mediation today in hopes to finally strike up a deal. Although there’s no confirmation to what stage the talks are at, we can only hope that they are progressing. Also, the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals granted the owners’ request of a stay which will keep the lockout in effect. Until the lockout is officially lifted, offseason activities cannot resume. Some are saying that this will some how generate a spark for a deal to get done soon, but there is no way to know for sure. As for my estimations, I believe [...]
Ravens Ranked #7 Team
In NFL.com’s Fan Rankings, both the experts and fans ranked the Baltimore Ravens as the number seven ranked team in the NFL. Both the experts and fan consensus put the Ravens’ divisional rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, ahead at number three. The Greenbay Packers and New England Patriots made the top two and New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and New York Jets finished out the rest of the top six. The spots that I most agree with are the Packers at one, and the Steelers being ahead of the Ravens. I say this because, the Superbowl champs should remain number one [...]
Football? On Sunday?
There are rumors floating around that there will be football on Sunday no matter what. Sounds like a hard promise to swallow during all this lockout negativity looming every time any one talks about the regular season, but it’s true. Just maybe not what type of football you think. Some of the bigger-named college football teams are looking into moving their games to Sunday to insure there will be cleats hitting the field on that day. Though it is somewhat vain to compare NCAA football to the more intense and hard-nosed drama called the NFL, it’s still football. As a football fan [...]
T-Sizzle At French Film Festival
The Baltimore Ravens’ four time pro-bowler is taking on a new profession during this lockout…Filmmaking. BaltimoreRavens.com reports that Terrell Suggs is currently showcasing his film “When Beautiful People Do Ugly Things” at the Festival de Cannes in France. It is about the events leading up to a wedding and the chaos that ensues. The film will be going head to head against other films for awards. T-Sizzle has said in numerous offseason interviews that he looks to continue making films with his extra time and in his post football career.
Happy Friday The 13th
To celebrate the special occasion, NFL Total access has counted down the top 10 unluckiest plays in the NFL. Unfortunately, the Baltimore Ravens were on the list at number 8 where Phil Dawson’s crazy field goal as time expired tied the game forcing overtime. The Cleveland Browns went ahead to win the game. Anyway, watch out for black cats, ladders, salt shakers, broken mirrors and be sure to stay safe!
A Rookie Paralleled With a Hall of Famer
One grew up in California loving football. The other grew up in Virgina loving football. One had such an audible passion to play quarterback while growing up, while it was almost unheard of at that time. Though his athleticism was awe-inspiring and many said to change position, he finally found a collegiate home in Washington as a starting quarterback (after some time). The other had athleticism oozing out of every pour of his toned body that Virgina Tech. couldn’t help but love to swoop him up and made him the next Hokie quarterback. One lead his team, in his senior season, to the Rose Bowl and defeated the Michigan Wolverines by a score of [...]
AFC North Draft Grades
Jaime Dukes and Daryl “Moose” Johnston grade the AFC Norths’ Draft on NFL Total Access. Their grades are as follows: Browns A A Bengals B B Ravens A [...]
Bulger Top Name In Free-Agent QB List
To add on yesterdays post, I found this video from the NFL Network in which Jaime Dukes and Charles Davis discuss the best free-agent quarterbacks of 2011. Included in the discussion is the Baltimore Ravens’ backup quarterback from last year, Marc Bulger. Davis and Dukes seem to like Bulger in Arizona following in the footsteps of another former St. Louis Ram, Kurt Warner. Marc Bulger, a once extremely accurate pro-bowl player, will venture into the free-agent market this offseason in search of a job where he can upstart his career.
