Ravens' Safety Ed Reed Says He's Not 100%

Baltimore Ravens’ Safety Ed Reed admits that he is not 100 percent. The All-Pro safety missed six games last year due to hip and neck injuries. Despite the lingering injuries, he still came up with a league leading eight interceptions in just ten games.

“I’m still not 100 percent (healthy), but I’m 100 percent mentally at this point as far as everything I can do. I know my limitations. I still have a lot of work to do before the season starts.”

Ed Reed continues to show his dominance year after year despite his age and persistent injuries. Rumors have spread that he is getting ready to hang up his cleats, but he still contains the will to play at a high level. Let’s hope that Ed heals up in time for the 2011 season so we can witness the excellence displayed each time he steps on the field.
