Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens sat down with Ed Werder to discuss numerous NFL topics including his future playing career, the NFL Lockout, as well as the Ravens – Steelers rivalry.
Ed Reed’s workout this offseason hasn’t changed a bit besides having no communication with the coaching staff. He looks to improve this season in hopes of reaching the Super Bowl. But if injuries continue to linger, he may have to hang up the cleats sooner that expected. Reed has hopes of playing till he’s 35 years old, but he doesn’t want to sacrifice his body to reach that goal. Although he feels great now, his neck and hip continue to cause problems. If surgery becomes the only solution, Reed will most likely retire.
Ed Reed also responded to LaMarr Woodley’s comments about Joe Flacco and the Ravens. “Be careful what you say” was the advice he gave to Woodley who said that Joe Flacco would not win a Super Bowl in this lifetime. Reed mentioned that he is ready for whatever the Steelers bring during their week 1 matchup and he will be coming full force as the season kicks off with one of the most fearsome rivalries in the NFL.
