Media Quote Disection: It’s gone overboard!

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL, Offseason, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

OK. So here is my take on what Lamar Woodley said regarding Joe Flacco’s ability or inability to win the big one: who the you know what cares? I love how people act like they don’t say stuff like this in their own lives or about other people in their lives. Does it affect you that your friend said you can’t do such and such? Do you dwell on it? Does it even matter? It’s like people thinking Lebron James is the only guy who ever took a better job offer and is supremely confident in himself. I can name [...]

LaMarr Woodley: Flacco Won’t Win A Superbowl “In This Lifetime”

AUTHOR: | IN: Offseason | COMMENTS: None Yet

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, LaMarr Woodley, did  a bit of trash talking recently when he stated that Baltimore Ravens’ Quarteback, Joe Flacco, will not win a superbowl “in this lifetime.” LaMarr said that the only way the Ravens will get to the superbowl is if they beat the Steelers in the AFC Championship. According to Woodley, “…we’re not gonna let that happen once we get that close.” Bold words coming from a man who already lost all of his credibility from his statements earlier this week.

NFL Player Legacies

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

I found this video the other day and really enjoyed it. It displays what players think impact a legacy. Whether it’s probowls, stats, MVPs, or championships, many players remain in our thoughts for a multitude of reasons. Take a look if you want to see a player’s perspective on the sport of football. Also, Derrick Mason, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and Ray Lewis make some appearances.

Pittsburgh Steeler LaMarr Woodley Makes Ridiculous Linebacker List

AUTHOR: | IN: Offseason | COMMENTS: None Yet

LaMarr Woodley of the Pittsburgh Steelers made a list of the top ten linebackers in the NFL. He also made it pretty clear that he’s a homer and has no idea what he is talking about. He’s a great linebacker, I’ll give him that, but don’t make a complete fool out of yourself on live television.

A Baltimore Ravens Backdrop

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

As a regular viewer of the ESPN show “NFL Live”, I’ve noticed Trey Wingo and the gang are now resorted to talk about Tweets and sandwiches for 30 minutes. They would probably get the same amount of viewers if they had Tommy Z beat up a Roethlisberger punching bag for an hour (Not a bad idea….), or Photoshop uniforms on big-name free agents such as Plaxico Burress or Donovan McNabb like the NBA did with Dwight Howard. Since everyone is scraping the bottom of the football information well, I guess I could tell you a secret. Can I trust you?

Baltimore Raven Ed Reed vs. Pittsburgh Steeler Troy Polamalu

AUTHOR: | IN: Offseason, Ravens | COMMENTS: 8 Comments

NFL Network decides who is the best safety in the league. The two names that immediately come to mind are Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu. They’re constantly compared and contrasted yet the question still remains, which one is better?

Is the Lockout getting to You?

AUTHOR: | IN: Lockout, NFL, Offseason, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

With the arrival of summer only two weeks away, it dawned on me that now is the time when most people are gearing up for NFL training camps to open all across the country in just a matter of weeks. However, it occurred to me that I haven’t even thought about this until the last few days or so. Is it possible that the lockout has sapped the energy and excitement out of us?

Joe Flacco Not Among Young Elite Quarterbacks

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular | COMMENTS: None Yet

In a recent NFL.com article, Joe Flacco was nowhere to be seen among the top young quarterbacks in the league. Out of six proffesional analysist, only one even mentioned him. Is this really fair?

NFL Lockout Update; Mediation Tomorrow

AUTHOR: | IN: Lockout | COMMENTS: None Yet

This Friday, NFL players and owners will meet in front of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals in hope of reaching a new collective bargaining agreement. In short, both sides will present their case on whether they think the lockout should or shouldn’t continue. From there, the judge will make the final decision and either keep the lockout in place or allow players to return to offseason activities. The owners have won this battle twice before and this will likely be the last appeal. This is a pivotal moment in the lockout. What unfolds tomorrow will tell us a lot [...]

Pat Kirwan Believes Joe Flacco Isn’t Getting Enough Credit

AUTHOR: | IN: Offseason, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

While Flacco came in at No. 90 on the top 100, there’s a case he could have come in higher. He’s led his team to the playoffs in each of his three seasons. In that time, Flacco has thrown 60 touchdowns, 34 interceptions and has an 87.9 passer rating. Tell me how much different people perceive Matt Ryan, who, in the same amount of time, has thrown 66 touchdowns, 34 interceptions and has an 86.9 passer rating? Ryan is 0-2 in playoffs as compared to Flacco’s 4-3 postseason record. This past season, Flacco threw 25 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions. Even [...]
