Ravens Re-Sign Marshal Yanda To Multi-Year Deal

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with guard/tackle Marshal Yanda. It will be official once he sign his contract on Friday at 6 PM. I can’t tell you how HUGE this is for the Ravens. Marshal Yanda is one of the best offensive linemen on the free agent market this year and the Ravens were very lucky to retain him. He will definitely help solidify the right side of the line and he should be able to move back to guard, his natural position, now that we have drafted Jah Reid.

More after the jump…

"We got Marshal Yanda! That’s great news, He told us he wanted to be a Raven and he understood the business part that he had to go through. I’m beaming, you see Ozzie smile and is there anyone more excited than [Offensive Line Coach] Andy Moeller right now? We’re a better team than we were one hour ago. – Head Coach John Harbaugh"

Without Marshal Yanda, the whole line pretty much falls apart. As sad as it is to see veterans like Todd heap and Derrick Mason released, Yanda brings so much more to the table on a production standpoint.

Get excited Ravens fans because Baltimore just retained one of the key pieces needed to make a run at the Lombardi for years to come.
