Ravens Re-Sign Marshal Yanda To Multi-Year Deal

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Baltimore Ravens have agreed to terms with guard/tackle Marshal Yanda. It will be official once he sign his contract on Friday at 6 PM. I can’t tell you how HUGE this is for the Ravens. Marshal Yanda is one of the best offensive linemen on the free agent market this year and the Ravens were very lucky to retain him. He will definitely help solidify the right side of the line and he should be able to move back to guard, his natural position, now that we have drafted Jah Reid. More after the jump…

Let’s Talk About the Actual CBA

AUTHOR: | IN: Lockout, NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

I know everyone has been talking out the ass about the lockout being over and football being back. I’ve been watching ESPN and the NFL Network since 10 AM and the only non-football talk I’ve seen was on ESPN about the Rangers 20-6 win over the Twins. There’s been no MLB highlights no nothing but football, football, football. Yes, it’s great because we’ve been missing football for 5 months so we’re getting that 5 months of missed football in a few days and it’s wonderful and we’re all excited. But, one thing I noticed is that not one second of [...]

Ravens Add Missouri Center Tim Barnes

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Baltimore Ravens have added yet another undrafted free agent in Missouri Center Tim Barnes. Barnes was very productive in Missouri as a pass blocker where he helped protect quarterback Blaine Gabbert. While his run blocking abilities are an area of concern, he should be able to fall under veteran Matt Birk’s wings and hopefully take the starting job in the future. Ravens Sign DT Cornell Banks

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement to sign Fresno State Defensive Tackle Cornell Banks. The Ravens could utilize him in a number of ways. He has lost some weight since college and now weighs just over 300 pounds. He could stay in the middle of the line or slim down and move to defensive end. He assisted on two sacks and had 24 tackles during his time with the Bulldogs last season where he played all 13 games. Ravens Sign RB Damien Berry Among Other Undrafted Free Agents

AUTHOR: | IN: Free Agency | COMMENTS: None Yet

According to ProFootballTalk, the Baltimore Ravens have signed rookie free agent Damien Berry from Miami. Berry was very productive at Miami rushing for over 1,500 yards in the last two seasons with an average of 6.6 yards per carry. With the release of Willis McGahee and the possible loss of Le’Ron McClain, the Ravens will need more depth at the running back position. I’m also sure that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed will be glad to see another player from the U arrive now that Wills McGahee has been released. RavensGab has also reported that the Ravens have signed a few local [...]

Derrick Mason And Todd Heap To Be Released By Baltimore Ravens

AUTHOR: | IN: Offseason, Rumors | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The lockout hasn’t been over for more than a day and the Ravens are already taking casualties. Although players cannot be officially cut until Thursday, the Baltimore Ravens have already reportedly informed wide receiver Derrick Mason, tight end Todd Heap, nose tackle Kelly Gregg, and running back Willis McGahee that they will be cut. Both Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun and Brett Hollander of WBAL Radio have made these reports and the information seems reliable. Roster moves cannot be made until 4 PM on Thursday so this won’t become official until then. These cuts will open about $19 million dollars [...]

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL????!!!! The NFLPA executive committee has approved the CBA. THE LOCKOUT IS OVER! FOOTBALL IS HERE! The 32 player reps still need to vote to approve it but this is just a formality because the executive committee wouldn’t have accepted it if they didn’t know the players would accept it. It’s here. No more waiting and listening to the radio, watching ESPN, checking the internet to see if it’s over. IT IS OVER and we have football! Now, starting today, once the player reps approve the CBA, the NFL schedule will be as follows: Today [...]

Reports have been coming in all over the place stating that the players and owners now have a fluid agreement to collective bargaining terms. The NFLPA is suppose to get a completed document together and present it to a committee between 11 AM and noon with a vote expected to follow. If all of this goes as planned, doors could open as soon as today. Signing rookie free agents and draftees would begin Tuesday and free agency on Friday at 6 PM. Every team should be in training camp by Sunday. It’s been a long 136 days. Hopefully we won’t [...]

Baltimore Ravens 2011 Season Preview And Playoff Projection

AUTHOR: | IN: Season Preview | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

AccuScore Advisor offers professional grade football betting systems that help build sustainable success while betting on NFL football. Baltimore lost in the Divisional round of the AFC playoffs to their hated division rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers were a thorn in the Ravens’ side last season, as Baltimore finished with the same 12-4 record as Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh held the tie-breaker and thus, the Ravens were handed the Wild Card. With the Browns and Bengals still not projected to be in the same class as the Steelers and Ravens, Baltimore will look to better the team that beat them in [...]
