Tony Moll signs with Jacksonville

Ravens unrestricted free agent OT Tony Moll has signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Moll played in 21 games over the two years he spent with the Ravens, according to  He began his career with the Green Bay Packers before coming to Baltimore in a trade before the 2009 season.  While not a major contributor Moll did provide depth for the line, playing multiple positions during his time here.  Over the course of his career Moll has played in 60 games.  His 21 starts have come at right tackle(12), right guard(7), and tight-end(2).  With an already hurting and depth-deprived offensive line, losing another offensive lineman is not going to help.  I do believe we have some young guys ready to step up but experience was surely needed on the line.

I’ll be interested to see what rookie and/or free agent the Ravens bring in to add depth to the line, if they bring anyone in at all.  Let’s discuss everyone’s thoughts on the O-line; leave comments below!

I’ll start it off. Obviously, based on my post, I am really worried about the depth of the o-line and Reid starting at RT…center worries me the most though

This is what we are looking at right now:

    Oher Grubbs Birk Yanda Reid

Birk being susceptible to injury is a worry of mine. As long as he’s healthy I’m not worried. The left side is pretty solid and I’m optimistic about Reid. I’ve heard some great things about him and if worst comes to worst, Cousins can hop in. We definitely need help though. Don’t forget that Jared Gaither is still a free agent so don’t rule him out completely. The O-line is going to be the only thing I watch on Thursday during the first preseason game. We’ll get a good idea about where we stand after that first game. I expect Oz to make some moves after that. A lot hinges on Jah Reid’s performance, but even if we do find a solid O-Line, one injury can change everything.
