Baltimore Ravens Week In Review

facebooktwitterreddit

It’s been five days and finally the power is back on in my neighborhood. My apologies go out to all of our loyal readers as this site was not updated over the past few days. Since I’ve missed a lot recently, I’m going to do a week in review that covers the top stories over the past week. So without further adieu, your Baltimore Ravens week in review.

Oniel Cousins To Cleveland

The Ravens drafted guard Oniel Cousins in 2008. He’s disappointed many at both the tackle and guard position. He had false starts and blown assignments in the first few preseason games and looked like a lost cause. The Baltimore Ravens cut him on Saturday but he will stay in the AFC North. Cousins is now a Cleveland Brown but is expected to do nothing more than provide depth. The move comes as no surprise as Cousin’s performance during preseason was mediocre at best.

More week in review after the jump…

Michael Vick: The Million Dollar Man

In one of the most interesting and inspiring stories of our decade, Michael Vick has gone from an immature, criminal millionaire to convict who declared bankruptcy to millionaire who has become a role model. Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to a six year $100 million contract. The Eagles now have a long term franchise quarterback and have shown Vick that they trust him to lead their team.

Last Preseason Game Against the Atlanta Falcons

The Ravens will visit the Georgia Dome tomorrow to take on the Atlanta Falcons in their final preseason game of the season. Don’t expect to see many starters play past the first series as this game will mainly be for the younger players trying to make the team. It will be a make or break performance for many players as the final roster will be submitted next week.

A Look Ahead At The Pittsburgh Steelers

The NFL regular season is not far away. Before you know it, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be making their annual visit to M&T Bank stadium. We are more than a week away and people are already talking about it. Whoever wins this game will likely win the division. It will give the winning team a boost of momentum and a fast start to this season while the losing team may be slow to recover from such a monumental game.
