Terrell Suggs Playing Fullback?

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Terrell Suggs is known for being a jokester. So when he said that he would be playing fullback against the New York Jets, many didn’t take him serious. Suggs has reportedly been taken snaps at fullback during practice this week. Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron confirmed it with media: That’s something that’s big in this plan, we want to put as many good players out there that we can. It’s his idea. He’s not bashful. I guess he got tired of asking to be a tight end, so hey, we’ll stick him in there at fullback and see what he thinks.

Around the NFL: Week Three

AUTHOR: | IN: NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

This was a crazy week in football. I just want to mention a few things I found especially surprising, exciting, or bad. Patriots vs. Bills Are the Bills for real? They are now 3-0 and their last two games, they’ve come from at least 18 points back to win. A win over the Patriots and Tom Brady is no easy feat. The best part of this game: Brady threw FOUR picks. That’s how many he threw in ALL of last season. He then cut his hair off. Haha. I’m still not convinced on the Bills though. If they only lose [...]

Baltimore Ravens CB Dominique Foxworth Put On IR

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth has been placed on injured reserve after struggling with his knee this season. Foxworth tore his ACL during training camp last year and missed the entire 2010 season. Foxworth did not look 100% this season after coming back from the surgery. He received a lot of criticism for his performance against the Tennessee Titans when he allowed Kenny Britt to catch an easy touchdown. Ironically, Kenny Britt just tore his ACL and will be out for the season. Hopefully Foxworth will heal up and be able to get back on the field. Though you may not [...]

Ravens Rackers: Week Three

AUTHOR: | IN: Fantasy, Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

*Point totals are based on ESPN.com’s Standard Edition I’m really bad at running features that I say I’m going to every week. I missed last week on this one but it’s safe to say, there wouldn’t have been much to write about since the team laid a major goose egg in all aspects of the game at Tennessee. This week was another story. This was week one all over again except against an awful Rams team. The Ravens took advantage and fantasy owners are ecstatic they did. Torrey Smith, WR He racked up an amazing 34 points with his 3 [...]

Ravens Report Card: Week 2 vs. Rams

AUTHOR: | IN: Recaps | COMMENTS: None Yet

Wow. That’s all I can say. What a great game. Derrick Mason, who? Willis McGahee, who? Todd Heap, who? Le’Ron McClain, who? This is looking to be the most explosive offense the Ravens have ever had. Add that to the still stingy defense, and we may have a chance at that game in February. I stole this idea from the Buffalo Bills FanSided site. I was reading their take on the amazing win over the Pats. There’s nothing I like more than seeing Tom Brady throw 4 interceptions well except maybe the Steelers ALMOST losing to the Peyton Manning-less Colts. [...]

Three Takeaways From Ravens Vs. Rams

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

  1. The Ravens are for real There was a lot of doubt surrounding the Ravens coming in to the Rams game. Many didn’t know whether to respect the team that got pummeled in Tennessee last week or the team that dominated the Steelers in week one. The fans received the latter which shows that the Ravens are an intimidating team that shouldn’t be overlooked. Consistency is the key now. We know what they can do when their running on all cylinders but the real question is, how long can they keep it up? Continue reading to see the rest [...]

Torrey Smith’s Three Touchdowns Lead Ravens To Victory Against The Rams 37-7

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

If you watched the Ravens Rams game today, you heard one name a lot. Catching 5 passes for 152 yards, the rookie Torrey Smith showcased his blazing speed against a weak Rams secondary. The Rams could simply not do anything productive on both offense and defense. It looked very similar to the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 1, where the Ravens completely dominated all phases of the game. Between Ray Rice and Ricky Williams, The Ravens had over 120 yards rushing while Joe Flacco threw for 390 yards. All in all, the Ravens had over 550 yards of [...]

Torrey Smith Lights Up The Edward Jones Dome In The First Quarter

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

The Ravens were highly criticized for their lack of speed this offseason. The Ravens looked to solve that problem by drafting Maryland WR Torrey Smith and acquiring Lee Evans via trade. When Lee Evans was unable to play today due to an ankle injury, Smith got the nod in his first ever NFL start. Smith never looked back as he caught three touchdown passes in the first quarter for 133 yards. Frustrated with his poor performance during preseason and the last two games, Smith looked to get over his rookie jitters in todays game. But no one expected a performance [...]
