The Baltimore Ravens have waived tackle/guard Mark LeVoir in order to re-sign LB Prescott Burgess. Burgess was released earlier this year after not making the final roster cuts.
After Daniel Ellerbe left the Houston Texans game with a leg injury, the Ravens needed more depth at linebacker. Burgess should contribute on special teams where he was the leading tackler for the Ravens in the past two seasons.
LeVoir was signed earlier this season after the Patriots released him. He was added to help the Ravens injury ridden O-line and ended up starting in week two against the Titans when Ben Grubbs sat out due to turf toe. When Andre Gurode got more comfortable with the offense, he took over the left guard position, making LeVoir a backup.
