Art Modell’s Wife, Patricia, Passes Away At 80

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Patricia Modell, wife of former Ravens owner Art Modell, passed away yesterday at the age of 80. Patricia was a model and actress earlier in her career, starring in “Twilight Zone,” “Alfred Hitchcock Presents,” “Perry Mason,” and “Maverick.” The cause of death is contributed to an illness that she suffered for quite some time. She was given one of the game balls after the New York Jets game. Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for all news, NFL and Ravens. Also, make sure to +1 our articles!

Derrick Mason Traded To The Houston Texans

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Baltimore Ravens will face the former Raven, Derrick Mason, for the 2nd time in a row this Sunday after he was traded from the New York Jets to the Houston Texans for a seventh round draft pick. Mason played for the Ravens from 2005 – 2010 until he was cut this offseason to make salary cap room. The Ravens planned on re-signing him but he signed with the Jets instead where he was unproductive. Now, he will head to Houston where he will attempt to help fill the void left by Andre Johnson who isn’t playing due to injury. Please follow us on Twitter and [...]

Haloti Ngata To Appeal Fine For Hit On Sanchez

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Earlier this week, Haloti Ngata was fined $15,000 for an illegal hit on Mark Sanchez during the Ravens win against the Jets on Sunday Night Football. Haloti is now appealing the fine calling it “bull.” I think it’s really bull. I thought I kept my head up the whole time. It’s kind of hard when you know that he’s about to throw the ball to try to let up when you’re trying to get there as fast as you can. I think it’s bull, but I’m going to try to appeal it and see what I can do. Continue reading [...]

Texans Won’t Have Their Best Players Against The Ravens

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

When the Houston Texans take the field this week, they won’t have their two best players on offense and defense. Last week, Andre Johnson injured his hamstring in a win against the Steelers. Johnson is arguably the best wide receiver in the league right now and he torched the Ravens last year on Monday Night Football. With Johnson out, the Texans receive a huge blow on offense (as does my fantasy team). He’s an irreplaceable talent that the Texans will miss. More after the jump…

Haloti Ngata Fined $15K For Hit On Sanchez

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Haloti Ngata has been fined $15,000 for his hit on Mark Sanchez last Sunday night. The hit caused a fumble that was recovered by Jarret Johnson for a touchdown. Although he wasn’t penalized for the hit, the rules state that you are not allowed to hit a quarterback with a lowered helmet. Ngata clearly put his facemask into the small of Sanchez’s back as he was about the throw. Please follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook for all news, NFL and Ravens. Raiders’ Al Davis Passes Away At 82

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

“Just win, baby.” And with those immortal words, Al Davis sealed his fate as one of the greatest individuals in football history. Today, football lost a great, influential man in Al Davis. Known for his colorful antics and great desire to win, Davis served as the Raiders owner and led them to three Super Bowls since his time there in the 60s. He also played a key part in the AFL merger and helped make the NFL what it is today. Raider Nation mourns his passing today along with the rest of the league, who have been impacted by his [...]

Ray Rice Hopes For 1000 Yards Rushing and Receiving

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

In the history of the NFL, only Roger Craig and Marshall Faulk have had 1000 rushing and receiving yards in the same season. Ray Rice hopes to accomplish the same some day, and join two of the most prolific backs in NFL history. In a recent interview with Yahoo! Sports, Ray Rice talked about his versatility in both running and catching the ball. The league is ever-evolving. If you can only run the ball … to me, that’s not being a complete player. Some guys are great at it, don’t get me wrong — these guys who rush for 1,700 [...]

Ravens Add More Cornerback Depth

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Although the Ravens secondary performed extremely well against the Jets Sunday night, they’re still the most scrutinized position on the Ravens team. The Ravens are trying to change that by signing CB Bryan McCann. McCann signed his contract on Tuesday morning and looks to get up to speed during the bye week. It will greatly help the depth at the cornerback position that has been ravished by injuries. McCann is also a very skilled return man. This is where he can make the biggest impact to the team. Ed Reed and Lardarius Webb have been returning punts as of [...]

Ravens Players Get A Week Off

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Ravens players were pleasantly surprised when head coach John Harbaugh gave them the week off during the bye week. Harbaugh found that getting healthy was more important than a few extra days of practice. With our numbers, we just didn’t see a way to put together a viable practice. Our rehab is more important. We think the practices really would have done us more harm than they would have done us good.
