Ray Lewis Will Not Play Sunday Against the Bengals

The 36 year old future hall of famer will be sidelined against the Bengals with a toe injury. Ray Lewis did not practice this week and flew to Florida to see a specialist. Lewis, who leads the team with 49 tackles, has a current streak of 57 consecutive starts for the Baltimore Ravens.

It’s no mystery that the legendary linebacker is reaching the end of his playing days. In his 16th season, Lewis has surprisingly lasted a long time at the MLB position without many injuries. It will be interesting to see how they are able to replace his presence this Sunday. Daniel Ellerbe or Jameel McClain will likely take over the starting role.
