Bengals Lose Integral Part of Defense

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Cinncinnati Bengals starting CB Leon Hall left the Steelers-Bengals game at the end of the second quarter with a sore achilles and didn’t return. Hall was later seen on crutches and it was reported that he will be done for the season with a rupthered achilles tendon. Leon Hall was  the Bengals best cornerback and is now done for the season. His replacement? The infamous Adam “Pacman” Jones is the likely candidate. Known more for his trouble off the field, Jones has been unable to make a huge impact for any of the numerous teams he has played for.

Moving Forward: Baltimore Ravens’ Playoff Future

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Baltimore Ravens had a chance to solidify themselves as AFC favorites yesterday. Instead, they left fans with a lot of concerns surrounding the team’s consistency. Watching a 6-2 playoff contender get dismantled by a 2-6 division bottom feeder was not something very encouraging after that same team swept their division rivals and fellow AFC powerhouse the week prior. Going forward, the Ravens are faced with many must wins if they want have a first round bye and home field advantage in the playoffs. More after the jump…

Introductions: Excited to be a new part of the Ebony Bird team!

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

I can’t promise that this will be my last haiku.  Angry e-mails and harassment are welcome. Ravens Seahawks time Easy games should not stress me Already barfed once _____ I think we all know that the Ravens tend to struggle with easy games after big, emotional wins (eg, weeks 2, 7).   I just hope that we play tough, competitive offense.  Cam has a tendency to become particularly uninspired in “easy” games.  I hope we start with some vertical passing, crossing routes and action in the flats, open up the middle and let Ray take care of the rest. Please follow [...]

Flacco’s The Man – a Big Man

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

With a little less than two minutes left in the game, I was emotionally spent. Flashing through my mind were memories of last year’s debacle when Polamalu forced a strip-sack or the playoff heartbreak when Antonio Brown did his best “David Tyree” impression. It boils down to one thing: the Steelers make plays and we don’t. The sad part is I have gotten used to it. My faith has wavered when the game is on the line. I scream, cuss, insult. I’ve even jumped up and punched a wall in disgust two days after tearing ligaments in my ankle (again [...]

Know Your Enemy: Seattle Seahawks

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Each week, I contact the editor of the FanSided team blog the Ravens are playing that Week.  This week I wrote five questions to Keith Myers, editor of the Seahawks blog 12thManRising.  Read what he has to say about the rivalry and more. 1. It’s pretty clear that Tavaris Jackson is not the guy for the Seahawks. Moving forward, who do you think will be the next franchise quarterback for the Seahawks? Will it be through the draft, a trade, or free agency? That has been the million dollar question in Seattle for a couple seasons now; even more so [...]

Purple Passion: Will this be Ray Lewis’s last dance?

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

As the Ravens fans endure another year of maddening and inconsistent football from their beloved purple and black team, a trip to the Super Bowl in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012, seems more likely now than it did following the ugly lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars back on October 24, 2011.  The improved composure and confidence of the offensive players could have the black birds flying high and landing in Peyton’s land to capture the beauty of the lights, cameras, and the Lombardi Trophy.  If that dream becomes a reality this year the players, fans and the entire city of [...]

NFL Week 10: Ravens vs. Seahawks

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

After coming off of a huge win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens enter week 10 with an air of superiority in the AFC North. Although the Bengals are technically still in first, they’ve yet to play the Steelers and Ravens. The Ravens will look to continue their dominance with an easy win against the struggling Seahawks. But will a win against the Seahawks be as easy as expected? More after the jump…

Ravens Must Beware Beast Mode

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

Marshawn Lynch’s persona known as “Beast Mode” is nothing to kid around about. While he’s been inconsistent during his career, Lynch has had some huge games against unlikely opponants. As you can see from the video above, Lynch is not the easiest to tackle and will not be stopped once beast mode is activated. The big question is, will the Ravens be able to stop it? More after the jump…

T-Sizzle vs. Skip Bayless: Round 2

AUTHOR: | IN: Ravens | COMMENTS: None Yet

For round 1, click here. The Terrell Suggs and Skip Bayless debate continues this week. Since the last time they met, Suggs receives some points in his favor after Joe Flacco defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final two minutes. Can Skip counter that argument?  It’s Skip Bayless! Of course he can. Skip still mananges to find something ridiculous to argue about. This time, Joe Flacco is still under the microscope and both Bayless and Suggs exchange some hilarious banter. To sign off, T-Sizzle raises his arms, flexes his muscles, and yells his alma matter, “Ball So Hard University. Let’s go!” It’s pretty clear who won this [...]
