Coming into Sunday night’s game, The Ravens had a golden path to the playoffs as they could ensure the number one seed in the AFC by winning out. It didn’t take to long to find out that that path was gilded as they looked anything but flawless. The Ravens dropped a big one and now need Pittsburgh to lose a game if they want a chance at the one seed. Ladies and Gentlemen, break out your 49ers gear because Monday night determines the Ravens’ season.
As a thank you for your continued support at Ebony Bird, we are giving away a Verizon Wireless Rezound! For an 10-day period starting with the NFL’s Dec. 18, Ravens at Chargers game, Qualcomm stadium is temporarily changing their name to Snapdragon Stadium. This is the first time that a sponsor has temporarily renamed and transformed a stadium to showcase one of their brands. Snapdragon processors by Qualcomm are all-in-one mobile processors also known as the “heart” of your mobile device. Gatorade for Pagano
There isn’t much to say for tonight’s game. Win and keep pace with the unbalanced New England Patriots (and keep pressure on the hopefully Roethlisberger-less Pittsburg Steelers). Lose and risk being the 5th seed again entering the playoffs as road-warriors. The Chargers are a talented team. But they sometimes underachieve – sound familiar? But, this is money-time. The Ravens want that number one seed. They are fired up for win number 11.
Chargers vs. Ravens: Gameday!
It’s been an upset special this Sunday with some of the most unlikely teams getting big wins today. The Green Bay Packers are no longer undefeated and the Indianapolis Colts finally got a win. The G-Men handed the division right back to Dallas after getting beat by the Redskins and the Bears got punched in the mouth at home by the Seahawks. Let’s hope that these upsets are just a fluke and not a trend as the Ravens are favored in San Diego tonight. All signs point towards Ray Lewis playing which will provide a huge motivational boost to the [...]
Know Your Enemy: San Diego Chargers
Each week, I contact the editor of the FanSided team blog the Ravens are playing that Week. This week I wrote five questions to Ernie Padaon, editor of the Chargers blog BoltBeat. Read what he has to say about the rivalry and more. 1. What matchups are you most looking forward to? The biggest matchup I am interested in is with your former offensive lineman Jared Gaither vs Terrell Suggs. The addition of Gather onto the roster has helped our offense look like what everyone expected. Philip Rivers has had some time to throw the ball and Ryan Mathews is running [...]
Ravens Face a Chargers Team That’s in Playoff Mode
The San Diego Chargers have just a small sliver of playoff hope left this season. They must win out to even have a chance at a wildcard. With the Baltimore Ravens being pretty much guaranteed a playoff appearance, could the Ravens fall into a trap on Sunday night?
Ravens need to take advantage of deep MLB class
The past four weeks for the Ravens have provided something to fans that has been widely unknown since John Harbaugh took over prior to the 2008 season. These last four weeks, the Ravens have been without all-word, future hall-of-famer, arguably the greatest middle linebacker to ever play, Ray Lewis. Lewis, as many of you know, has been sidelined with a turf toe injury. Without Lewis in the lineup, the Ravens have gone 4-0 in his absence, remain atop the AFC North and, should they win out, will be awarded the AFC’s no. 1 overall seed in the playoffs and a [...]
Ray Lewis Injury Update: Should He Play?
When Ray Lewis first got injured this season, fans were worried. Many thought that the defense would not be successful without him and that the Ravens would drop a game or two. Instead, what those fans got was an excellent defense that continues to play with passion and intensity even without the big man in the middle. Would it be in the Ravens best interest to continue playing without their most important player? Continue reading to find out…
And here we go!! The Ravens sit at 10-3 with three games left to play against teams the Ravens should handle easily. Now I’m not suggesting the Chargers and Bengals won’t bring their best games, nor does it mean the Ravens will run away with the victories. The Chargers and Bengals are desperate and need a victory to remain relevant as they fight for a wild card spot. But pound for pound the Ravens are a better team and if they continue to play with passion and remain focused on the ultimate prize, the Lombardi Trophy, then the Ravens should be 13-3 at [...]
The Ravens are, from top to bottom, perhaps the most complete roster in the NFL. That doesn’t mean that they are without needs, or that they lack the ability to upgrade. In this segment I will be taking a position by position look at where the Ravens could use an upgrade or where they my have holes opening up in the near future. Today I will be focusing on interior offensive lineman, specifically Left Guard.
