With the 84th Overall Pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens Select Bernard Pierce

After trading with the Atlanta Falcons for the 84th overall pick, the Baltimore Ravens have made their third selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.  Temple RB Bernard Pierce has been selected 84th overall. He’s the third player taken by the Ravens after Alabama’s Courtney Upshaw and Iowa State’s Kelechi Osemele. RB Bernard Pierce will be a solid backup for Ray Rice and has a lot of upside. He’s a bigger back and could see some significant playing time down the road. He’s the favorite for the backup position but will compete with Anthony Allen, last year’s seventh round pick out of Georgia Tech.
