The two key components to the Baltimore Ravens offense are looking for new contracts. QB Joe Flacco is entering the last year of his rookie contract and RB Ray Rice is looking for a new deal after being tagged as the team’s franchise player. As expected, Joe Flacco was in attendance at the organized team activities while Ray Rice was not.
Don’t expect Ray to be at any Ravens activities until training camp as he wants a new contract. Rumors have said that both sides are $10 million dollars apart which will be quite an obstacle to hurdle. A deal probably won’t get done until mid to late summer as both parties have a lot of negotiating to do. The Ravens won’t even begin to address Flacco’s new contract until Rice is signed as that will free up cap space for Flacco.
