Lions Beat Ravens 27-12; Defense Needs Improvement

August 17, 2012; Baltimore, MD, USA; Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh reacts during their preseason game against the Detroit Lions

The Lions passing offense was too much for the Ravens D to handle tonight as Matthew Stafford and Megatron tore the secondary apart. Stafford threw two touchdowns and Calvin Johnson had over 100 yards receiving and a touchdown. The Lions defense wasn’t too shabby either, keeping the Ravens out of the endzone all night. Both Joe Flacco and Tyrod Taylor were able to put together solid drives until they stalled in the redzone against a fearsome run defense. While this wasn’t a pretty game for the Ravens, it’s definitely something to build off of as the Ravens prepare to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars next week.
