Denver 31 @ Cincy 23- The Bengals looked good early after forcing Manning into back to back picks deep in Bronco territory, but Manning stormed back scoring back to back TDs to take an 11 point lead which the Bengals, despite a late FG to cut it to 8, weren’t able to recover from. The Ravens got a gift here as they were able to further distance themselves from the Bengals in the Division. The Bengals are now 3-6 and trail the 6-2 Ravens by an almost insurmountable 3.5 games.

Arizona 17 @ Green Bay 31- Aaron Rodgers appears to be back with a vengence as Rodgers had yet another excellent game. he threw 4 TDs, giving him 28 in the past 6 games, more than any other Packers QB over any 6 game stretch. pretty impressive stuff.

Buffalo 9 @ Houston 21- The Texans remain a 1 loss team after they shook off the Bills who kept it very tight for 3 quarters. The Texans offense was solid, but their D was great holding the Bills to just 9 points. along with the Ravens, they were the only teams of the day to hold their opponent without a touchdown.

Miami 20 @ Inianapolis 23- If you don’t believe that Andrew Luck is on the verge of being a superstar, then you haven’t been watching. RGIII has been flashier and statistically better, but if you watch the two guys play, it is clear that Luck is a significantly better overall player. Today Luck had the best day of his career and one of the best days of any rookie QB ever passing for 433 yards( a rookie record) and 2 TDs, including the one to put the Colts up 20-17, they went on to swap FGs to reach the final score. Tannehill is no slouch either. He has 290 yards and a TD on the day.

Detroit 31 @ Jacksonville 14- STOP THE PRESSES!!! The Lions finally have a run game. today they had 2 players rush for over 70 yards, Mikel Leshore, the second year back out of Illinois that missed his rookie year, had 70 yards and three TDs, all in the second quarter as the Lions got out to a 21-0 first half lead. fellow second year back Jaquei Bell had 73 yards and one score. Blaine Gabbert continues to be a complete and utter bust as he was running scared all day and threw up 2 boneheaded picks.

Chicago 51 @ Tennessee 20- The Titans got a safety…and that pretty much it. The Bears dominated from start to finish and played a very complete game. They scored on offense, defense and special teams. The bright not for the Titans was that Chris Johnson continues to look like he is back on track after averaging almost 9 yards per carrie today as he got 141 yards and an 80 yard TD. Bears corner Charles Tillman forced a ridiculous 4 fumbles. incredible day for him.

Carolina 21 @ Washington 13- It looks like teams are starting to figure out how to play these mobile cannon armed QBs like Mike Vick, RGIII and Cam Newton. 2 of those guys faced off today and both teams defenses were able to control the game for the most part. The Panthers rode their more versatile rushing attack to an 8 point win,The two combined for only one passing TD and neither had over 215 yards.

Heres hoping the Giants can find a way to best the Steelers today. if they can, the Ravens will tighten their grip on the division and take a 2 game lead over the Steelers with 8 games left to play.
