Ravens offense must improve to beat the Raiders

The 6-2 Baltimore Ravens must improve offensively this week in their quest to beat the 3-5 Oakland Raiders.  The Ravens offense has looked sluggish for over a month now and with the toughest part of their schedule coming, they need to shake off the rust…and quick.

With two games against the arch-rival Pittsburgh Steelers in the next four weeks, they need to fine-tune their offense today against the Raiders.  The Ravens can’t afford to overlook the Raiders though, as they have the fire-power to give the Ravens defense problems if they don’t concentrate on the task at hand.

During warm-ups today, Joe Flacco threw 20-30 long passes to Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith in practice.  The “norm” for Flacco and company is usually 5-10 passes of this length during practice.  This leaves me to believe that Cam Cameron may try to go long a little more today in an effort to jump-start the offense.

The weather is great and this should be a good physical football game.  The Ravens NEED this game…to take a page out of Al Davis’ handbook….”Just win baby!”
