In the latest blow for the Eagles in what has been a complete nightmare of a season for them, The team announced Desean Jackson is done for the year after injuring himself in the Monday night game against the Panthers.

Jackson suffered multiple fractured ribs and wouldn’t be ready to go in time for e the end of the season. This is also probably partly a precaution because there is absolutely no reason for Jackson to play because the Eagles have nothing left to play for except pride. There is no reason to risk the future of one of your top players over pride.

This is just one more blow to Andy Reid who will almost certainly be gone from the Eagles next year along with QB Mike Vick. Reid is likely to land with the Chargers or take a season off. As far as Vick goes, I have no idea where he might end up next, maybe out in the Desert with the Cardinals.
