Suggs Has Torn Biceps

Ok, so this is a good news, bad news situation.

Lets start with the bad. Terrell Suggs has suffered his second serious injury of the year. He has torn his bicep and could be out for a while. The Ravens can’t seem to shake the injury bug after seeming to be much healthier for the past week or so. Thats the bad.

The Good news is that not only could Suggs potentially play through his injury, he could still play at a high level. According to Adam Schefter there are at least 3 players in the league right now playing through similar injuries including Dolphins ILB Karlos Dansby who is having one of the better years of his career.

Suggs is getting a second opinion on the injury today so we should know more by tomorrow. If you follow Ebonybird on twitter, then you probably saw yesterday during the first half when i tweeted Suggs should be an MVP candidate because this is an entirely different defense with him on the field. That is how important Suggs is to the team. I don’t want to say losing Suggs would derail the Ravens Superbowl hopes, but it would put a huge dent in them.
