Rich Eisen said he asked Ed Reed point balnk if he was coming back next year if he won the big one on Sunday. He never said exactly what Reed said, but Rich did say that Reed sounded like a guy that was ready to retire. He talked about his body, how his kids wanted him to be home more and even said he had decided to hang up his cleats last year before reconsidering and coming back.

I said over a week ago that I think Reed will retire with a win. The opportunity is just too good. Reed and Lewis are both first ballot hall of famers. they would both be inducted together after playing together for Reeds entire Career. They went to the same school. If Reed were to retire, His bust would sit side by side with Ray Lewis’ bust for eternity in Canton Ohio. That is magical stuff. Opportunities like that don’t come around often, I cant think of a single one ever in the NFL.
