This weekend has been really weird for Anquan Boldin. First the reports were that Baltimore had told him to cut his salary by 2 million or be released. Then boldin said he had never been approached about a trade. Then he said that he understands then NFL is a buisiness. Then we learned that Boldin had come so close to being released on Friday, that he had actually preparred a statement for the fans and media thanking them for their support.

Now things are getting even more twisted. The Ravens are now shopping Boldin on the trade market. I have no idea what type of value Boldin has, but Percy Harvin was just traded for a 1st, 7th and a next year mid rounder so it seems like the market is pretty high for a WR. I understand that Boldin isnt going to be worth as much as Harvin, but I could realistically see a team parting with an early third or even a late second rounder in exchange for Boldin. This could also mean that the Ravens have no interest in cutting him anymore. generally a team wont waste time trying to trade a guy if other teams know he is about to be cut either way, there would be no incentive to trade for him in that case.

This story is getting weirder and weirder by the minute. Now the Ravens seem to have interest in signing Danny Amendola to replace Boldin. Amendola is looking for around 6 million per year. Stay tuned for more as this story continues to evolve. Follow us on twitter(@ebony_bird) for instant updates!
