According to Walterfootball.com Multiple AFC sources believe that the Ravens are targeting Georgia nose tackle John Jenkins.

The move would make some sense. Ozzie Newsome has said he wants to beef up the interior of the Ravens line. Jenkins is also expected to be draft in the right range to be a Ravens target. That said, Im not sure Jenkins is a good fit. The Ravens seem to want to get Haloti Ngata back to playing NT again. If that is true then why spend a first round pick on a nose tackle when the best player on your defense plays the same position. It would be one thing if it were like defensive end or corner or linebacker where you have multiple players at the same position on the field together, but nose tackle is a one man gig.

The second thing that gives me some pause is that the source wasnt inside the Ravens. it was sources in the AFC taking a guess at what the Ravens would do. If fellow AFC GMs ever knew what the Ravens were actually going to do, then it stands to reason that those GMs should make an attempt to grab every player the Ravens want because any team would envy the Ravens draft record.

Jenkins wouldnt be a bad pick, but at this time of year, never believe anything you hear.
