The guys over at nflmocks.com have posted their latest 2013 mock draft. It is a three round draft. Here are the Ravens picks and my take on each of them.

Round 1, Pick 32- Manti Teo, LB, Notre Dame

What They Said: The Ravens cap off the first round by adding Manti Teo, who has proven he can be an elite player in a 3-4 defensive alignment. This is a great value for Ozzie Newsome.

What I Say: Given the players left on the board, this isnt a bad pick at all. In their set-up the pick would come down to Teo(selected 32), Jesse Williams(selected 57th) and Jonathan Cyprien( 37th). While I value Cyprien over Teo, I don’t necessarily think Teo is a bad pick.

Round 2, Pick 62- Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor

What They Said: N/A

What I Say: I dont much care for this pick. Williams is a vertical route only player. He has the ability to be more, but he is a major project unless you are just going to tell him to go deep and run under the ball. The problem there is that the Ravens already have Torrey Smith and Jacoby Jones. Williams doesnt hold much value here either, he is pretty much expected to be a late second round guy. Kyle Long(64th), Markus Wheaton(65th), Sylvester Williams(78th), Terron Armstead(81st), Da’Rick Rodgers(85th), David Amerson(90th) would all be better fits or are more talented players, as would DJ Swearinger, who is remarkably not in their three round draft.

Round 3, Pick 94: JJ Wilcox, S, Georgia Southern

What They Said: N/A

What I Say: This is a pretty solid pick. It isnt a great value, but it fills a clear need and Wilcox is a very under-rated player. I still find it absurd that DJ Swearinger wasnt picked(he is about 15 times as talented as Wilcox), but I digress.
