The Ravens have taken Matt Elam. Regular readers will know i am not crazy about Elam, I hat his size and i dont think he is capable of covering TEs in the NFL. I also question cutting a safety to save 1 million in cap space and then signing a rookie at the same position who will make 1.23 million against the cap as a rookie. Elam has a lot of issues that need to be coached out of him. He is out of position a lot, he tends to try and compensate for his size by cutting underneath receivers which leads to him being burned over top.

That said, Now is the time for Elam to come out and show me up though. I was never high on Elam, so my message to Elam is simply this.

Go Prove Me Wrong.

I truly and honestly hope he does. I would always rather be wrong about a prospect than have my favorite team draft a bust. no question about it. I now will shift from being a big Elam Doubter to being a big Elam supporter. not because I am a flip flopper, but because i support my team. I am willing to eat some crow on this one if it means the Ravens got a great player.

Good Luck Matt, Welcome to the Ravens.
