Ravens second year running back Bernard Pierce was robbed at gunpoint in Philadelphia on Sunday night. Pierce was reportedly out with a few friends when an assailant emerged from a car, with a driver behind the wheel, both armed, robbed him and his company. They also stole his BMW.

Pierce and his friends were not harmed as far as anyone has reported and they were all “shaken, but healthy and ok.

Pierces BMW was found in a different part of town on Monday morning. the Police then took it and searched the car forensically for any evidence of who the robbers were. There is no indication of whether or not they found anything, but no arrests have been made so one would assume they did not.

Its great to hear that Pierce and his friends are ok and we wish them all the best of luck in recovering anything that was taken from them. This was a bad situation but when you get robbed at gunpoint, I would assume you are happier to be alive and well than you are upset that your wallet is gone(though I am sure there is plenty of that going on as well). Pierce looks poised for a big season, thankfully that potential, and the life of Pierce, are still intact. Our best wishes go out to you Pierce, hopefully this kind of thing never happens to you again.
