Fantasy Football: Don’t Take Any Chances, Sit Ray Rice

Wednesday comes around, Ray Rice misses practice.

Thursday comes around, Ray Rice misses practice again.

And Friday comes around, Ray Rice misses practice for the third straight day.

With that third missed practice, we’ve also received an official update on Rice’s status for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, and it’s doubtful.

While he is listed as doubtful on the Ravens injury report, Head coach John Harbaugh did say that he would be a game time decision after Friday’s practice.

However, that should not make you feel confident enough to start Rice on your fantasy football team. If Rice does end up playing in Sunday’s game, which is very unlikely, then he would likely receive limited reps with his hip injury.

Bernard Pierce is more than capable of starting for the Ravens, which also gives the Ravens another reason to let Rice sit and recover this Sunday.

Your best bet would be to sit Rice this week and start your next top running back on the team. Rice should be much further ahead next week.
