For Ray Rice, it’s all about baby steps from here till the rest of the season.
Rice had been dealing with the biggest slump of his career through the first two weeks of his career. On top of that, he suffered a hip injury in during the second week against the Cleveland Browns.
Rice ended up returning from his hip injury in week four against the Buffalo Bills after missing the game against the Houston Texans in the week before. It was apparent that the Ravens were limiting Rice’s reps in that game against the Bills since he only had five carries through out the whole game.
The Ravens ended up increasing the workload in Rice’s second game since returning from the hip injury in week’s game against the Miami Dolphins. He ended up carrying the ball 22 more times, then in last week’s game against the Bills. Also, two of his three rushing touchdowns on the season came from last week’s game against the Dolphins.
It’s too soon to speak on anything, especially after only one game, but the signs are encouraging for Ray Rice returning to his Pro Bowl form.
