Can the Ravens defense withstand Rodgers?

Well, this week with the Atlanta Falcons losing to a not so good New York Jets team. And todays news about Adrian Peterson and his kid a lot of questions have been asked this week. Well one more question that should be asked before they kickoff Sunday from MT&T Bank Stadium is can the defense limit Aaron Rodgers at all.

Week One on the huge national stage, first game of the year it was like the defense didn’t even show up. Peyton Manning who has been destroying everyone else, started off the destruction on the Ravens defense. Manning passed for an outstanding 7 touchdown passes. He was at his best, and that game may very well go down in history as his greatest accomplishment next to his Super Bowl ring.

This Sunday the Ravens defense takes on another tall task of former NFL MVP and Brett Favre prodigy Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers and his Packers are 2-2 with wins over RGIII and inner division rival Calvin Johnson and his Detroit Lions. Rodgers has thrown for 1,331 yards along with 9 touchdowns and has a QB rating of 105.5 which isn’t too shabby.

Since the Week One schlacking from Peyton Manning the Ravens defense has well, played better. And even sometimes played up to how they were playing last year while Future HOF Ray Lewis was leading them. People always say defense wins championships. That’s exactly how the Ravens went on their historic Super Bowl run last season.

So with a new leader on defense, the Ravens definitely need to step it up this weekend and show Aaron Rodgers that nothing has changed, and that nothing will ever change and that they will come out on top.
