Today is the day that all NFL teams look forward to, in hopes that their team would be playing for it all. In an age of offensive explosions, there are two coaches who are more defensive-minded. However, can either have their defense ready to stop the opposing offense?

Storylines

This will a reunion of sorts for both Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson. Wilson attending Manning’s quarterback camp back in 2005. Which quarterback will take over this game? The wily veteran or the underdog who has been defying the odds since he started playing football.

This game is also about the legacy of Peyton Manning whether he agrees or not. He is pursuing his second Super Bowl ring that would match him with his little brother Eli. Manning needs to win this one if he wants to be considered one of the all-time greats in most analysts eyes.

The biggest of all of the storylines will be about the Seattle Seahawks. They are pursuing their first Super Bowl Championship. Their only other apprearance was in 2005 when they were defeated by the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-10.

Pete Carroll is also chasing history. If the Seahawks prevail he will join former Dallas Cowboys head coaches Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer as the only coaches to win both a National Championship and the Super Bowl.
