The annual NFL Owner’s Meeting begins this week in Orlando, and officials from the league’s 32 clubs will discuss a number of proposed rules changes.
One of the items on the docket is the possibility of allowing head coaches to challenge any official’s decision, except scoring plays. If the proposal passes and more plays are then subject to review, then the Ravens could stand to benefit because they have been one of the NFL’s most successful teams at challenging calls during Head Coach John Harbaugh’s tenure.
Pending the passing of a physical, the Baltimore Ravens have acquired G/C Jeremy Zuttah from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in exchange for a 2015 draft choice, Ravens general manager/executive vice president Ozzie Newsome announced Sunday.
A six-year veteran who has played his entire career with the Buccaneers, Zuttah has seen action in 90 games, making 76 starts. The 6-4, 308-pounder has started 30 games at center, 41 at left guard and five at right guard since being selected out of Rutgers in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

The first wave of free agency has passed, and some draftniks have adjusted their mock drafts accordingly. Teams have filled holes and have others that need attention.
The Ravens re-signed left tackle Eugene Monroe, tight end Dennis Pitta and wide receiver Jacoby Jones. They added wide receiver Steve Smith, Sr. Baltimore lost defensive end Arthur Jones and cornerback Corey Graham in free agency.
