Aaron Wilson at the Baltimore Sun brings us the latest Ravens salary cap and contract info today and it looks like the Ravens are currently $4.159 million under after signing five players last week. Here are the specifics on the five new players who signed:
Aaron Ross – one year, $855,000.
Dominique Franks – one year, $730,000.
Austin Spitler – one year, $730,000.
Mike Willie – one year, $420,000.
Nick DiMarco – three years, $1.53 million.
None of the contracts have any sort of signing bonus or guaranteed money, meaning that Ravens can cut any of the players without penalty.
It will be interesting to see if they decide to use any of the salary cap space to sign another veteran (Brandon Flowers, perhaps?), especially once cuts start happening around the league.
What do you think the Ravens should do with their cap space?
