Jimmy Smith was arrested late Saturday night and charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct, according to the Baltimore Sun.  Baltimore County police have reported that the incident occurred at The Greene Turtle in Townson, where they were told there was an unconscious woman in the restroom.

When police arrived, they found Smith in the restroom with the intoxicated woman, reportedly trying to help her.  Police say Smith refused to step aside when medics arrived and became argumentative.  Smith did cooperate after he was arrested, and was later released with a citation for failure to obey a police officer.

Smith entered the league with a history of off field problems including at least one failed drug test, a third-degree assault citation, and multiple underage drinking violations.  Since being drafted in 2011, he has stayed out of trouble until now.  The Ravens have expressed interest in signing him to a long term extension this offseason.

Smith’s arrest is the fifth for a Ravens player this offseason, joining Ray Rice, Jah Reid, Deonte Thompson, and Lorenzo Taliaferro.
