3 Ravens Players Who Need To Step Up

So we hate on Chykie Brown a lot.  I will admit that.  But he just keeps disappointing every time he gets on the field, while fellow young cornerback Asa Jackson keeps getting better.  After repeatedly getting burned through training camp by a variety of wide receivers, Brown got called for two penalties on the first two passes that were thrown his way Thursday night against the 49ers.  Opposing teams would be silly not to target him when he is on the field.

This comes after Brown showed a little improvement in his previous training camp practice.  That glimmer of hope quickly disappeared against the 49ers, and to top it off Asa Jackson picked up an interception and otherwise didn’t embarrass himself. Rubbing more dirt in the wound, Dominique Franks picked up an interception as well.  But the coaching staff continues to give Brown chances, and we don’t doubt he will get a few more before they sit him on the bench for good.
