Torrey Smith, ADP 63.93

Torrey Smith, the younger half of the Smith & Smith Law Firm, went over 1,000 yards receiving last season for the first time in his short career.  Smith is an ascending player in a contract year who is primed for a breakout.  With three seasons under his belt (the magic number for receivers), an improving offense, and new weapons around him that promise to relieve double teams, last year’s numbers are the floor for 2014.

Smith has number one wide receiver upside and is an excellent value at his current average draft position of 62.27.  This puts him behind the likes of Wes Welker, Pierre Garcon, Cordarrelle Patterson, Larry Fitzgerald, Roddy White, Michael Floyd, DeSean Jackson, and Julian Edelman.  All of which we think Smith will trump in fantasy points by the end of the season.  If you can get Smith as your WR2 behind a guy like Calvin Johnson or Deymarius Thomas, you are going to have a solid WR core. In spite of all the obvious signs, people are just plain ignoring T. Smith.  Don’t do the same in your league.
