-Timmy Jernigan hit beast mode in the fifteenth of Ravens training camp today, and not a minute too soon after the team’s defensive tackle depth has taken a hit with season ending injuries to Brent Urban and Kapron Lewis-Moore.  He consistently wrecked havoc on the offensive line in drills and it seems like he is already making his living in the backfield.  It’s going to be really hard for the Ravens to keep him third on the depth chart for much longer.

-Kamar Aiken and Jeremy Butler are battling it out for both a spot at the end of the wide receiver rotation and a shot at the final roster.  Both continue to impress by making tough catches and big plays in every practice.  Michael Campanaro had another good day as well, catching multiple balls in drills.

-One wide receiver who didn’t look good was Delonte Thompson, who had numerous drops.  Seems to be a trend with him lately.

-Daryl Smith had a solid day coming off of his groin injury and looked no worse for wear, making what would have been a big hit on Ray Rice.  Smith also knocked the ball out of Mike Willie’s hands and showed nice closing speed all day in the run game.

More from Ravens News

-Justin Tucker missed a field goal from 41 yards out.  Notable because he rarely misses those.

-Sammy Seamster had a pick going up against Jacoby Jones in the end zone.

-Gino Gradkowski knocked Derrick Hopkins on his back during one drill.  Nice to see a pulse after his disastrous 2013s season.

-Keith Wenning looked good again as he made some decisive throws.  Very accurate in drills as well.

-Dominique Franks redeemed himself a little today while running with the second and third teams.  Franks had several pass break ups, including one he tipped for an interception.

Missed practice: Lardarius Webb (back), Asa Jackson (ankle), and Will Rackley (head).

Returned to practice: Dennis Pitta (ankle), Ryan Jensen (ankle), Brynden Trawick (back).
